Peach Tea Mild is an English style Mild brewed with Earl Grey tea and peach. Bright, clear and copper colored, Peach Tea Mild pours with a light tan head and abundant aromas of peach, biscuit, tea, and caramel. Medium-bodied and slightly sweet, Peach Tea Mild tastes like washing a peach biscuit sandwich down with a glass of cool iced tea. Peach Tea Mild is easy drinking and finishes fairly dry.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/9/2017. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy and lightly tart/tangy peaches, lemon, orange, herbal tea, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of peaches, tea, bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of juicy and lightly tart/tangy peaches, lemon, orange, herbal tea, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very minimal herbal/floral/grassy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of peaches, lemon, orange, herbal tea, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of peaches, tea, bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/tart/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly clean finishing. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and slightly sticky/tangy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is a delicious pale mild style. All around nice robustness and balance of peaches, tea, bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and never watery for the ABV. Perfectly balanced malts, fruit, and tea; with mild earthy hop/fruity yeast presence. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bottle dated 9.28.17, I think. Nonic pint.

A: pours a slightly hazy copper with 1/2 finger off white head that recedes quickly. Some visible carb. Retention is not so hot, but lacing is above average - saying a lot for a 3 month old beer.

S: potent peach scent straight out of the fridge. Not getting much tea or bergamot, but I think I am getting some English ale esters, some classy crackery malt.

T: mild is right. Peach and esters intertwine on the arrival. Not as sweet as some have described it. Fruity presence is definitely there, but not sweet per se; a malty sweetness perhaps but not unfermented fruit sugar, which is what I was expecting. Lightweight but mouth filling maltiness on the middle, with an almost Berliner Weiss like tartness, right before the herbal hop and yes, light black tea and floral note bring it back. Mild floral lingers. A subtle, fruity, quaffable beer.

M: lighter end of midweight, with ample but not excessive carbonation. Clean finish.

O: I love English ale, and I have sought out a pale mild just to tick off the style. I hesitated at buying this, given the adjuncts involved, but on balance I do think it represents the style. It is malty and mouth filling, floral, and utterly sessionable. At 4.3% I could go back to work (if I wanted to). Worth trying.

Poured from bottle to pint glass. Clear and copper-colored, with a finger of offwhite foam that's gone in a minute. Aromas of cooked peaches and tea, with biscuit and herbal notes. Flavor is pretty close to peach iced tea, with a dry, grassy/herbal finish. Nice, substantial feel for the style. Would be refreshing on a sultry Michigan summer evening, or as a companion to Short's London Fog.

I picked up a bottle of Short's Peach Tea Mild last week at The Lager Mill. I'm always down to try a new beer from Short's and I'm interested to see how this one will turn out, so lets see how it goes. 2017 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into an imperial pint glass.

A- The label looks nice, it goes well with the name and it's a little eye catching. It poured a pretty amber orange color that didn't change when held to the light and it had a quarter fingers worth of off white/light tan head that was a little bubbly and quickly died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a nice looking beer, but I wish the head, head retention and lacing were all a little better.

S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the peaches being the first to show up and they have a nice natural peach juice like aroma and that goes right into the sweet tea which imparts a nice and noticeable sweet tea like aroma. Up next comes the yeast which shows up just enough and it has a little bit of those english ale yeast like aroma. Towards the end comes the malts which are just a little on the lighter side and they impart some caramel malt, bread crust. light toasted, light grainy and light sweet malt like aroma. This beer has a pretty nice aroma that makes it live up to it's name.

T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but a little bolder and more sweet than it smells and it starts off with a lower amount of high sweetness with peaches still being the first to show up and they still impart those nice natural peach juice like aspects and that goes right into the tea which imparts all the same sweet tea aspects that I got in the aroma, but this time they are a little more sweeter. Up next comes the yeast which imparts the same aspects that it did in the aroma and it shows up just as much and it goes right into the malts which are still a little on the lighter side and they impart all the same aspects that they did in the aroma. On the finish there's not bitterness at all with some sweetness taking it's place and had peach, light tea and even lighter malty flavors in the aftertaste. This is a nice tasting beer that lives up to it's name, but it's a little too sweet for me.

M- Smooth, a little cloying, a little crisp, on the lighter side of being medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice, but I wish it was less sweet and cloying.

Overall I thought this was a decent beer and I thought it was pretty close to being an average example of the style, it wasn't bad at all, but the sweet peach juice flavors seemed to dominated and it covered up some of the other flavors that should have showed up to it and it made it a little to sweet to have more than one of. This beer had ok drinkability, one is enough for me, anymore than that and it the sweetness would start to wear on me. What I like the most about this beer is the aroma, it was pretty nice and it had better balance than the aroma. What I liked the least about the beer was the sweetness and that the tea and English Mild Ale base didn't show up just a little more. I'm not sure I would buy this beer on it's own, but I wouldn't turn one down and I would recommend it your want something a little more on the sweet side. All in all I didn't mind this beer, but i didn't find it to be all that memorable and it's nothing that I feel the need to revisit anytime soon. It's one of my least favorite Short's beers that I've had recently and it's pretty close to being an average example of the style. Better luck next time guys, this one could use a little more work in the balance department.
