Säufer is a traditional Märzen lager also known as Oktoberfest. Brewed in March (März) and allowed to cold age until late September, this beer is bright amber in color with an off white head offering aromas of toasted bread. With just a touch of sweetness up front, Säufer has a light body with subtle malt and biscuit flavor. It’s highly drinkable, finishing crisp and clean, suiting it’s name perfectly as Säufer, pronounced zoi-fer, meaning “chugger”, or “guzzler” – Prost!
