Short's Super Hoppy Holidays 2021 Edition - 18 pack
12 oz. can dated 10/25/21 - 7.4% ABV / 78 IBU
Brewed and canned in Elk Rapids, MI
Poured into a Dogfish Head branded Spiegelau IPA glass

Look - Pours a thick and soapy white head that clings to the glass. Hazy and bright orange appearance.
Smell - Picking up a lot of citrus, floral, melon, and cream scent. Very complex. Coconut cream and tangerine seem to stand out the most.
Taste - The taste is a mix of citrus and coconut. This tastes very similar to the Snow Globe IPA in the variety pack albeit somewhat thinner. Bitterness and alcohol are both minimal.
Feel - Medium bodied with a sharp and crisp mouthfeel, and more juicy than drying.
Overall - Seems like a more sessionable version of Snow Globe IPA, which isn't a bad thing. Some of the parts of this variety pack are definitely better than the sum.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top pint; bottled on 09/29/19
A: Pours a hazy, amber to light copper color with an aggressive one to two finger fluffy, tan head, solid rim and cap retention, and solid, sticky, Belgian lacing.
S: Yeast forward with a lot of cookie and toffee. Aromas of grapefruit, honey, caramel, and pine.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Palate follows elements of the nose: caramel, pine/spruce, grapefruit, and toffee, but also orange. Solid, but not overpowering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with strong carbonation. Smooth and inviting on the palate.
O: A extremely well-balanced, complexly flavorful American IPA. I enjoyed it so much, I had another.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/24/2018. Pours fairly hazy deep orange/amber/light copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky cream colored head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light chocolate/cocoa/coffee, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light chocolate/cocoa/coffee, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light chocolate/cocoa/coffee, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with and very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, fairly resinous/rindy, and lightly chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 10.2% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. This was a blend of 5 different IPAs from the super hoppy holidays pack, including a Black and NEIPA. Awesome balance of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a nice sized malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on unique style example. They did an awesome job on the blend, as you get character from all 5 equally.

Long time no review. Local store was recently sold and the quality dropped off a bit and the singles section was cut to a quarter of it's original size.

Anyway, grabbed up this holiday pack and a few singles from Shorts since I'd gone too long without a quality brew. Didn't realize most these mfs were high ABV until I checked em out on here post purchase.

HERE GOES.

Look - Rather hazy amber with q low clarity. Carbonation appears to be about medium.

Smell - A sticky and wet dankness immediately apparent. Touches of toastyness. Moderate pine with obvious wet hopping.

Taste - The hop profile remains much the same with an unexpected for the style though welcome addition of moderately toasted bread. A bit of heat on the back end.

Feel - medium oily body with a mild carbonation. Some heat on the swallow though quite tame.

Overall - A pretty good beer and a nice welcome back in my opinion. Heat could have been hidden a bit better but that's just for needed nit picking. Tasty brew that makes me look forward to the rest of the pack.

12oz bottled 10/24/18 (41 days ago) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 10.2% ABV 69 IBU per Short's website. The beer pours mostly bright dark amber to light brown in color. The head is very light brown and settles to a nice cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is pine and caramel with a little citrus mixed in. The taste is toasted malt and semisweet caramel at first with some citrus and pine sneaking in mid-palate. The earthy bitterness builds throughout, cresting with the mostly dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and adequately carbonated. The alcohol starts to come through more as the beer warms. Overall, ok. I haven’t found a brown IPA that I enjoyed yet. This is well made and reminded me of a stronger DFH Indian Brown.

Pours a dark brown with a few fingers of khaki head. Aromas of sweet malt, floral and juicy hops. Flavor is a little of everything: Goodnight Bodacious's roasty notes ride along 5000's syrupy booziness with a mellow, citrusy melon hoppy finish compliments of Dan's Pink and SITH. A weird, unique little dude
