Bourbon Barrel Aged Moher Stout is Double Irish-style Stout aged in Two James bourbon barrels. Like the original, this full-bodied beer is black in color with a rich brown lace. Prominent vanilla notes illustrate the barrel aging, but the bourbon, roast, and chocolate flavors and aromas follow closely. The beer ends with a slight warming from the alcohol and a touch of dryness.

Love Moher Stout, and haven't had it in five years at this point. Took advantage of Short's shipping bottles downstate to finally grab some. While BBA Moher is still quite nice, it lacks the carbonated feel, trading it for more of a slick and oily feel, and the sweet Bourbon and oaky wood compliments but also hides some of the roasty notes. ABV is well hidden still.
