Honey Root Field Ale is an Imperial Experimental Field Ale brewed with honey, maple syrup, sweet potatoes, and Triple Pearl hops – all local – as a fundraiser for Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology. Copper in color with a white head, this beer has aromas of spice, chocolate, citrusy hops, and earthy grass. Leading with notes of cinnamon and citrus, the flavors quickly transition to notes of baked sweet potatoes, biscuit, caramel, and light maple. Medium bodied with a slight warming from the alcohol, this beer finishes dry, chocolatey and smooth. 39 IBU

Very interesting, unique ale. Poured from bottle to pilsner glass. Copper color, with a few fingers of foamy head. Not much hang time. Sweet and spicy - or, spiced - aroma. Sweet potato, cinnamon sugar, syrup, floral, citrus. Flavor is amazing, sweet potato soufflé with nice warm spices, earthy and citrusy hops.
