Tropical fruit smoothie meets IPA in this medium-bodied golden brew made with lactose, banana, vanilla, and coconut flavor. Motueka and Sabro hops give Big Bird Blood distinct stone fruit and coconut aromas with sweet, resinous, herbal hints complimented by the banana, vanilla, tangerine, and coconut taste. Feathers not included.

Poured a straw yellow that wasn't quite as hazy as I've come to expect from NEIPAs, let alone pastry versions, and had lots of visible floaties.
The aroma was faint for me, but banana did come through. Curious.
The taste, well, can't say I'm a fan. Admittedly, nuance in flavor is lost on me, but this, I kid not, had me thinking somebody put beets in my beer. Now I'm a fan of a good Borsht but beets in beer, not so much. I'm sure this was an intriguing interplay of flavors that others my taste, but I get beets.
The feel was okay, but nothing special. Floaties may be the cause.
OA, happy to have tried it, but just as happy I only got a single. As with everything else, your mileage may differ.

Pours a straw gold. Smell is tropical fruits. Taste is bitter hop, some ripe fruit, sweet coconut and a tiny bit of banana aftertaste. This isn’t a bad beer. But, it does not live up to the description which is the reason for my fairly neutral rating. I was left wanting more banana and coconut where this beer provided a fairly typical milkshake IPA flavor. The feel was creamy and rich. Probably won’t seek out again.

Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is banana and coconut. Tastes of coconut and other tropical fruits. Starts sweet but has a nice hoppy, almost alcohol, bite.

The latest in Short's Milkshake IPA series has landed, and it's the murkiest by far. Pouring from bottle to glass is first a clear yellow followed by thick, banana colored liquid. Floaties are present. Aroma is mushed banana and aggressively juicy hops. Flavor is very much Pina Colada, just not as sweet. Full feeling.

This beer is wierd. Just on mouthfeel alone. Taste wiise it's a heavy pina Colada ipa milkshake. No alcohol. None
Pina Colada. In the glass swished around it looks thin. Mouthfeel is full on full. Thick lactose mouthfeel huge fullness. Stonefruits. Vanilla shake mixed with the juice. Very distinct and unique flavor. Unlike anything.

S- Coconut, some sweet bananas, citrus, some vanilla, fairly sweet, hints of earthiness.
T- Citrus, coconut, some tropical fruits, sweet bananas, some vanilla, more hops and less sweet than the nose.
M- Smooth, medium body.
O- An interesting milkshake, coconut and bananas work well with with it. Really not getting any lactose in this and that’s a good thing.
