Every Human needs a Lil’ Huma. Lil Huma is a low-cal, low-carb IPA with massive flavors, made in the likeness of its hop- and malt-packed big brother, Huma Lupa Licious. Bright saffron in color, your nose will be greeted with a huge citrus and pine hop profile that leads perfectly into a full-bodied yet quaffable mouthfeel, rounded out by a lil balance of malt sweetness, finishing with an affable bitterness. Shockingly only 4.5% abv and 95 calories with 4 carbs, this small but mighty session IPA is here for the long haul. 53 IBU

12oz can. Sample from the brewery. Thanks, Joe!
So this the smaller version of Huma Lupa Licious, a 7.7% India Pale Ale. It's only 4.5% ABV and marketed as a low-cal, low-carb IPA with 95 calories and 4 grams of carbs. 53 IBU
Lively pour. Light golden hue with tons of carbonation and solid three-finger meringue-like foam head with incredible lacing. Aroma is very soft and floral with citrus rind and apple skin. Light-bodied, a bit crisp, smooth, and creamy on the palate. Bready malts. Dry and astringent with a grassy bitterness, aspirin notes, and grapefruit rind. Bone-dry, crackery, finish and the hops stick around for a while with a spicy and herbal linger.
If you're a hophead looking for a low-cal and low-carb offering, you're going to crush Lil' Huma.

Update 2/17/22:
January - March 2022 IPA Awesome Variety Pack - 12 pack
12 oz. can dated 123021 (12/30/21) - 4.5% ABV / 53 IBU
Brewed and canned in Elk Rapids, MI
Poured into a Bell's branded nonic pint glass
Look - Pours a fizzy and dense off-white head that leaves lacing. Crystal clear, golden yellow appearance with a decent amount of streaming bubbles. 5/5
Smell - A lot of citrus and pine in the scent with the malt playing around in the background. 3.75/5
Taste - The taste follows the nose initially, but there is a nasty chemical taste in the aftertaste. The bitterness is very slight. 2/5
Feel - Thin to medium bodied with a sort of crisp mouthfeel and finishes kinda dry. 3.75/5
Overall - The weird aftertaste ruins this and makes it almost undrinkable. 2.5/5

This one suffers from the same problem as Light Hearted: drawing a comparison to an iconic bigger brother that is fundamentally a different beer. While Lil' isn't Huma, it does hold its own as a sub-5% IPA. It's Prolonged Enjoyment with a bit of a bigger malt presence and a touch thicker feel. Bready and crackery with some Grapefruit pulp and peel. Worth a pickup if you're watching calories and carbs, or out on the boat for a few hours.
