Garden Party is a Biere De Garde style ale that was aged in wine barrels for 20 months. Aromas of light oak and toffee create a rich malt character. Flavors of oak and a slight caramel sweetness add to a creamy mouthfeel. Garden Party finishes smooth with a touch of dryness—the perfect compliment to an afternoon spent admiring your plant babies in the great outdoors.

This is the second wine-themed brew (after Da Vine) Short's has released recently and I'm afraid to say this one doesn't quite hit. Amber in color, with a lasting collar of foam, Garden Party mingles oak and vinegar flavors with slight fruity notes that never quite win out, but can be found if you look hard enough. While the aroma is a bit more pleasant (grape juice and woody oak), the flavor just isn't there. A thin feel and dry finish rounds out the experience.
