Your favorite triple dry hopped IPA, but twice as crazy. That’s right—this brand new offering has the tropical fruit and bitterness you love from the OG PCG and is accompanied by a boozy maltiness you’d expect from a double IPA, balancing the bitter hop profile and doubling your pleasure.

120z can as part of the mixed holiday IPA pack 2025. PKG 10-13-25 on bottom of can.
Hopped with Mosaic, Amarillo, and Citra.
9.1% ABV, 65 IBU
Pours to a sparkingly clear light amber, forming a modest off white head with good lacing and average retention. Carbonation is mild-moderate, ~2.25 carbs or so. Nose of mango, pineapple, peach, pine, a little grapefruit. No MJ/resinous quality, which I often get with Mosaic. No off-aromas. Mouthfeel is thankfully not syrupy or boozy at this strength and finishes on the drier side, medium dense body, Not very astringent or vegetal. Taste is a recap of the nose with some C-20 or 40 malt sweetness to balance the bitterness which is pleasant. A bit of toast in the finish. I'm generally not a fan of DIPA's at this point as they are often too boozy, but this one is good, and it doesn't have that awful terpene infused quality that many breweries are using now. No fusels, diacetyl or other off-flavors.
A decent DIPA, but not something I would go out and buy as I have a wealth of really good NEIPA's to pick from. Worth trying if you like DIPA's.

Canned on 10/20/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours a hazy glowing golden; fluffy off-white head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing.
The aromas have a decent amount of tropical fruits. Hints of citrus. Some crackers and caramel. Malts are there.
The flavors are very clean, crisp and refreshing. Some orange, grapefruit and coconut leading the way. Hints of pineapple. Lots of fresh grass. Hints of pine. More crackers. More hints of caramel in the mix. Nice solid bitterness. Subtle spiciness. Low sweetness. Malts do their thing while almost taking a backseat. Finishes dry. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium to full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, spritzy, slick, smooth and slightly fluffy.
This is a nice DIPA. It might not be flashy, but the craftsmanship is impressive and takes this one to the next level. Once again, it's very clean, crisp and refreshing. Well done.

Tripling our pleasure, tripling our fun, Short's knows how to give hop heads a good time. A triple dry-hop regimen applied to an IPA makes this beer basically catnip for hipsters.
Burnish gold and with rustic orange low-lights, Double Psychadelic Cat Grass builds a lofty ivory froth while reeling in the nose with tropics, citrus and grassy botanicals. A gentle sip shows a glimpse into the foundation of malt, framed with caramel, honey and shortbread flavors.
But once the hops wake up, they overshadow the malt sweetness with a bounty of white grapefruit, under ripened orange, and lime. Nearly carrying a berry and wine-like twinge, a quick follow-up of pineapple, mango and apricot add tropical succulence to the beer's balance and complexity. Certainly a bitter beer, the beer's late palate is sharp and resinous with grassy herbs, hemp, fruit rinds and pinecone.
Medium bodied but lightened considerably in finish by the acute bite from hops. They carry with them a peppery vegetation that allows for a drying astringency to plague the finish. A long and bitter aftertaste brings about a chemical bitterness akin to asparatame and gin-like botanicals once more.

12 fl. oz can
Served in an IPA glass
This beer pours a hazy copper color. It is topped with several inches of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is dank and medicinal. I get some resin.
It tastes just like the smell led me to believe it would. I get dank and slightly medicinal upfront. I get a little citrus through the middle. It has a bitter finish but not overly so.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
This is one of Short's better IPAs. I never comment on can art, but this label is pretty fucking cool.

Poured from can to pint glass. Copper liquid covered with a solid finger of head. Big tropical aromas and caramel sweetness. Big, DIPA sweet backbone with all sort of tropical fruit and a touch of boozy heat. Slightly bitter finish, a nice contrast to the syrupy sweetness that preceded it.
