We harnessed all the complex flavor of the one-and-only Sabro for an IPA that’s bright, tropical, and citrusy while being delightfully bitter with hints of herbaceousness.

WHOA!!!
This brew really should be considered excellent, at the very least.
I just tried this yesterday, for the first time.
A total explosion of citrus flavor over very good hop flavor. Crisp and smooth and incredibly enjoyable.

Surprisingly good,
The pour was golden ale color with a 2 finger head that was almost pure white.
The aroma was pleasant in an IPA sort of way, distinct but not overwhelming.
I didn’t taste grapefruit like some apparently did, but the flavor is rife with citrus and piny bitterness in a very nice balance.
The feel was excellent, I think it was the best part- just what I thought an IPA should feel like.
Definitely want to drink again, this is a good beer!

This brew needs more love! Sabro is unique and has a truly grapefruit taste. Like a grapefruit IPA without any wack flavor enhancement - just straight golden hazy ale. Looks lovely in the glass - a real NEIPA but not billed as such. This is a treat and a surprise from Shorts

November 2020 Specialty Release - 6 pack
12 oz. bottle dated 11/23/20 - 7.4% ABV
Poured into Dogfish Head branded Spiegelau IPA glass
Look - White head with good lacing and carbonation. Very hazy, slightly yellow appearance.
Smell - I pick up an oddly pleasant citrus smell I've never really smelled before, which I assume is the Sabro Hops.
Taste - Has a nice creamy cantaloupe flavor, but it's not exceptionally strong. Slight bitter aftertaste.
Feel - Very watery mouthfeel with a medium body.
Overall - The taste and smell of the Sabro Hops is interesting, but overall feels kind of underwhelming.

An excellent addition to the Short's lineup. Pour from bottle to perfect pint glass. Cloudy yellow with honeycomb head. Aroma of bread dough with melon and citrus. Flavor is excellent, and the Sabro hops imparting a juicy mandarin and honeydew flavor with a mint leaf finish. Enough bready malt for a decent amount of body and flavor. Feel is oddly substantial but lightly rolls off the tongue.
Sabro deserves a place among Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Huell Melon as most interesting hops right now. I

This is a beer I thoroughly enjoyed.
Nice crisp taste. The sabro hops threw me off at first but once I opened my second bottle I was hooked. Incredible hop blast of flavor. A new go to from Shorts for me. Living in Michigan makes me a bit bias but whatever. Overall this was a bit hazy nice foam head. I was more taken by the flavor. Top tier beer for me.
