A: Heavy brown, almost black, no transparency whatsoever. Mocha-colored head a finger tall with good retention and patching
S: meaty, a little smoky (reminds me of hickory-smoked beef)
T: Roast / char with some tang in it.
M: lighter body than one might expect from a stout but that's an American stout. Appropriate mediumish body if not too lively on the end. Also appropriate is the dryness. A little crispness builds off the beginning.

Thanks Chris.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a semi-thick black color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Sly trickling lace, somewhat messy.
The aroma had a heavy coffee grind-like roastiness rolling into some ash/smoke, light black licorice, and a smooth clean caramel maltiness.
The flavor was moderately roasty with a sly sweetness of milk chocolate cutting in underneath. Black licorice leaned further back barely showing much taste in this department. Semi-smooth roasty sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability as the roasty grip is fairly lean upon my tongue. Carbonation did feel fine. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, pretty nice Irish dry stout worthy of having again.

Pours a dark fudge color with a thin quick to fade beige head atop.Big roast coffee aromas really hit ya,love the big roasted element, like being in a coffee house. The body is a little slick and thinner in the finish.Roasty and earthy flavors with an ever so slight caramel note underneath but it's slight. The aromas are the best part of the beer, better than alot of the more 'well known' dry stouts out there.

From tap. Look is black with thin head and heavy lacing.
Smell is light coffee.
Taste is coffee and little else. Pretty enjoyable.
Feel is thin, but what I expect from a low abv stout.
Overall a decent stout. I go more for the high abv barrel aged styles. But if you like guiness-like stouts, this ones a winner.

L: Black, little brown head that dissipated quickly. Light lacing.
S: Very roasty, almost burnt smell. Reminds me of burnt black firewood.
T: Heavy roasted flavors with a coffee like finish finish.
F: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Dark and burnt sort of beer, not smoky in any way though. Light enough to drink more than one, and enough flavor to make it worthwhile.

Poured from bottle to glass. Pours a deep black with touches of mahogany when held to the light. Small bit of head. Roasty cocoa and malt aroma, with a taste that follows. Thin feel. Great St Pat's day traditional Irish stout.

Pours black with a short, foamy, brown head. Fades fast.
Smells coffee, chocolate, bitter nutty, roasted malt and hints of smoke.
Tastes roasted malts and bitter earthy. Fades to more coffee and hints of chocolate. Finish is set with a bitter coffee and very faint smokey linger. Lighter medium body and lower smooth carbonation
