Easy drinking refreshment of a lager hi-fives the citrus-to-bitter pairing of a really great IPA in your everyday IPL, like the original MMMKay. But this here? This is MMMKay. Bigger. Bolder. Bitter-er. Expect to be greeted with copious amounts of guava, orange, lemon and grapefruit pith that then shifts to a bold shock of intense, earthy, resinous-pine bitterness. Made for the 2021 Super Hoppy Holidays Variety Pack, and ready to punch your tastebuds.

Short's Super Hoppy Holidays 2021 Edition - 18 pack
12 oz. can dated 10/22/21 - 8.9% ABV / 78 IBU
Brewed and canned in Elk Rapids, MI
Poured into an unbranded pilsner glass
Look - Pours a thick and fluffy white head that sticks around. Cloudy, golden yellow appearance with tons of streaming carbonation.
Smell - Not picking up much of a scent. Maybe some citrus and pine.
Taste - Initial taste is caramel and malt with slight citrus and floral hop characteristics, and the aftertaste is a substantial piney bitterness that lingers for a while. Slight alcohol taste, but not overpowering.
Feel - Medium bodied with a resinous mouthfeel. Not very drying.
Overall - The caramel malt is overpowering and doesn't mix well with the piney bitterness. Couldn't detect much of the citrus fruit the description claimed.
