Three times the hops, three times the malt, three times the complex hop and malt theme park in your mouth. Rich with candied grapefruit and pine aromas with toasty, biscuity, caramel maltiness for a full-bodied, boozy celebration of all things awesome. Description: Color is light copper and cloudy with a head that dissipates quickly. Smell...I was pretty stuffy. I didn't get much of anything, but my wife said it was citrusy, so there's that. Taste was WHOA! Bitter, grapefruit, melon, orange and very big/bold. The alcohol was apparent to the point that the beer was a little hot. Feel was thick for an IPA and smooth/velvety.
Overall: 4.25 (This beer is good and I would likely drink it again) This is a TIPA and it punches like one. I like big beers but this one was difficult for me to get through; too boozy. This might have been more tolerable in a 4 oz. pour, but a full can was a bit much. It reminded me of Founders Devil Dancer and would probably benefit from some aging to mellow it out.

Pours golden amber with a large white head. Very faint smell of malts, no sign of hops. Taste is very overwhelmingly boozie. After you get used to the strong kick you get a little bit of citrus.

Canned on 10/25/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours a hazy glowing golden; fluffy off-white head that fades leaving nice retention and sticky lacing.
The aromas have a decent amount of tropical fruits leading the way. Some caramel and crackers. Malts are there.
The flavors basically follow the nose, but are much bolder. Nice burst of tropical fruits leading the way. Lots of pineapple leading the way. Hints of citrus in the mix. Some burnt rubber. Some pine sap. Some rye and black pepper. More caramel. Nice hop flavors and hop bitterness. Subtle sweetness along with a subtle spiciness. It finishes a little warm along with some alcohol flavors, but in a fitting and enjoyable way.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, spritzy, slick and smooth.
This is a great "Triple IPA". It's big and bold while remaining clean, crisp and even refreshing. Great use of hops. The craftsmanship is very impressive and takes this one to an even higher level. Short's did a great job with this one, it's definitely a true winner. It's possibly my favorite beer that I've had from them to date. They should really consider giving this one its own release. Well done.
