DRY HOPPED AMBER LAGER
A Joe Short request: this Amber Lager boasts aromas and flavors of biscuit and caramel with a light body and clean finish. As easy to drink as Local’s Light, but with a little more flavor.

OK head poured into a glass, bubbly. Rich caramel flavor and aroma especially since it's relatively light, 4.25% ABV. As a Michigander I've gone through a lot of Bell's Amber Ale over the years but I might switch over to this. Fave beer is still Founder's Rübæus since I had to give up Bell's Two Hearted Ale (just too strong for me now).

Not very complex, easy drinking amber lager, mild caramel notes. Not bad, just nothing special.

The aroma is not very appealing, almost burnt. The flavor is very bland, but for its positioning in Short's "Local's Light" portfolio, I guess that fits. I enjoy all things Short's, but this one doesn't do it for me. The Local's Dark is outstanding, so if you want a more flavorful, lighter-bodied beer, go for that one.
