I love beer and I truly love Shorts Brewery. And I like to try new styles and almost always like them. But this was terrible. Honestly undrinkable. I poured out 5 cans. Nothing but STRONG taste of jalapeno. I know - It's right on the label. But I wasn't expecting that. Just wonder what others think.

I love raspbeery and jalapeno so when I saw this I had to try it. Looks great on the pour and has good ingering lace. Not much in the nose other than lager smell. It's fairly light in taste and feel. My first thoughts were not much raspberry just jalapeno flavor but the fruit came through as I continued as well as the heat. Leaves a nice warmth and is not fruit beer sweet. Nice dry finish. I am not usually a lager fan but this is decent at the price point. Overall I wish it had more raspberry.

Absolutely disgusting. I like "spicy" beers, I've had a couple I believe but this one is just a terrible mix. Jalapeno flavor is offputting and I love Jalapenos, and mixed with the raspberry it's just unpleasant. The aftertaste is the worst I've tasted from a beer. No spice, just overpowering btterness that makes IPA's look good. Strong pass. My regret is not buying a single can and stuck drinking 6 of these.

June 2024 Limited Release - 6 pack
12 oz. can dated 061424 (6/14/24) - 5.3% ABV / ? IBU
Brewed and canned in Elk Rapids, MI
Poured into a Bell's branded nonic pint glass
Look - Pours a dense and soapy white head that leaves nice lacing. Clear, golden amber appearance with tons of streaming bubbles.
Smell - Aroma of strong jalapenos. Very intense.
Taste - The taste is mostly jalapeno with a faint amount of raspberry. No bitterness.
Feel - Thin to medium bodied with a slightly crisp mouthfeel and finishes spicy.
Overall - The jalapenos take center stage and drown out any aspects of raspberries, but this is still very good, and a must get if you're a fan of spicy beers.
