This was a one-off brewed for the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange’s anniversary.
It pours a murky cider-brown with some thin lacing. There’s not much noticeable aroma from this at all, even as it warms. However, it has a sweet, dunkel-like flavor that hits up front. There’s obvious vanilla notes. Sarsaparilla, too. Not quite root beer in flavor but similar, only lighter. Maybe this is what root beer should taste like. It warms to a big dunkel flavor and is pleasantly smooth.
The aftertaste (burp!) is definitely (burp!) rootbeer-like in (burp!) flavor.
