A medium bodied bronze-colored lager with smokey campfire aromas, indicative of this rauchbier style. Bold smoke flavors strike the palate creating a surprisingly lively and tingly mouthfeel. The overall impact from start to finish is reminiscent of smoking a cigar, creating an interesting contrast between savory malt flavors and the natural refreshing quality of beer.

This pours a clear yellow sunflower mixed with toasted bread brown. The aroma is light and deceptive, as there’s a pleasant flavor to this which hits midsip. Smoked without being smokey, there’s a sticky marshmallow-roast smoke on it which makes for a savory contrast. The smoke doesn't emerge until the beer opens as it warms.

Clear orangish-amber body with minimal head. The carbonation leaves a persistent surface coating.
Campfire smokey aroma, tobacco, leafy.
Nice smokey flavor, mainly a spicy tobacco. Earthy. Minty. Slightly off-putting sulfuric finish.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium. Moderate carbonation.
I thought it was a very good smoked beer aside from the finish.
