This thing pours all head. And the bottle keeps overflowing unless I keep pouring. Strange. I've never seen a beer that fills a glass with only head. White, crusty, meringue head with brown spots and apple chunks. Beer settles later to an opaque, pale, frosty caramel (color of tarte au sucre). Big, sticky arcs of lacing. The nose is metallic, champagne-like with apple and savory spice. Front is light and fresh. White wine/champagne and apples. The middle is fairly buttery. More apples. A little watery. Finish is quite nice: major toasty, nutty biscuits. It's not too sweet, but there's a little sugar cloy. This would make a decent champagne substitute. It's a touch metallic. Nice biscuity finish, though.

Rather bland apple juice beer, carbonation, not much in appearance other than hazy apple juice. Medium to light mouthfeel. Could have a couple of gulps, but otherwise not finishable. A geuze experiment. We thought it was infected as it poured over, but that was the sugar written up as champagne.
