Pours a slightly hazy dark golden yellow, solid 1.5" off white head with good retention but no lacing. Nose is very bright with lots of white wine notes - lemon, white grapes, light oak, fresh cut grass, and yeast. Taste leads with yeasty sweetness, effervescent, perfumey yeast esters, clove and bubblegum notes. As it warms, sweetness and booziness begin to build; not quite cloying, but rather heavy. Carbonation is snappy with a good, light mouthfeel. Overall, didn't find too much complexity here, and what is there plays too estery for my tastes.

From a 16 oz. can dated 04/13/21. Sampled July 5, 2021.
Golden-yellow pour under a quickly fading white fizzy head. Maybe a chill haze
Spicy aromas such as coriander and clove greet my nose first. Then there is a toasted bread crust and cooked rice ester. Hay and leather
Light-medium mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and toasted followed by the previously noted bold spiciness. Decent

Pours a translucent honey yellow, with a fizzy champagne head which recedes quickly. Smell is very muted with a hint of barnyard hay. Taste is peppery/fruity /spicy with a definite lemon, pear taste. Feels a tad bit under carbonated, feels thin bodied and finishes medium dry to juicy. Overall this is good. A subdued Saison as far as funk goes. Overall not too bad. Also supports the Bobolink bird.

Seems its trying to be a saison but takes on an almost hefeweizen character. The yeast character is slightly peppery which I like, but the taste runs a touch sweeter than I'd like for a saison. The can says belgian style ale so I guess it's not trying to be textbook anything. Fairly enjoyable but unremarkable.

It's extremely drinkable, and it has qualities that one associates with saisons (lemon/jasmine. belgian yeast), Heffeweisens (it's got that kind of sweetness), as well as some Pale Ale characteristics (some of that kind of hoppiness, but not too much). If you're an IPA or Pale Ale drinker looking to try something with a bit of Heffeweisen/Saison influence, you would probably enjoy this.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of jasmine are present in the nose along with hints of floral hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of jasmine along with notes of floral hops and hints of Belgian yeast.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors in this saison seemed to be a bit delicate, but I found the jasmine to be interesting and unique.

Can! Gold hazy straw with small head. Nice lemon pepper aroma with a little vanilla cake. Similar sweetness with a little lemon. LIght lemon pepper bitterness in soft finish. Classic.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a bright, golden body with some lacing. Nose of a little spice, a bit of funk, and a mild, earthy and herbal hop character. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with a bit more hoppiness in that there is some flavor of citrus, herb, and ever so slight fruit. Nice feel and overall, a nice saison offering from ZG and very nice paired with any light pasta dish. Cheers!

Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a cloudy, golden yellow. There is a wisp of a white head and some lacing. The nose is spicy, peppery and earthy. Maybe a little yeastiness. The taste is good. Yeasty, pepper, spicy, earthy. A really nice Saison!

On tap at McGillicuddys, Five Corners, Essex Junction, VT. The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a sly transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a cap of a little white bar pours kind of head. No lace. The aroma had some sweet herbal to grassy to floral character, a little white pepper, some lemon pulp, subtle earthiness and ended with a little bit of yeasty/white bread. The flavor carried the prior mentioned aromas together sweetly and had that white pepper gracefully touch the back end. Aftertaste was herbal and floral. Finish was a quaint herbal to floral tone. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good saison that I could have again.
