a very very simple, but extremely well made craft american lager, designed to be super light and drinkable, its just a slammer, but fills in on their menu as something for the macro drinkers and craft drinkers alike. its light in color and body, crystal clear and bubbly, very mild in malt and hops character, but most importantly without any adjunct or metallic flavors, which typifies the style on a macro scale. my dad loved it, loved the relative freshness, and how flavorful the lager yeast is, and i agree, as simple as it is, i think it stands out as a really well done lager, and its a great compliment to their more robust pizzas they make. this is a palate cleanser, a refresher, but also worthy as a sipper on the patio in the summer time. there really is an absence if basic pale lager beer like this in the craft word, and while i have seen them proliferate a little bit over the past few years, this category is still way underrepresented. nice to drink this one, i think i like their green state lager a little bit more, but this serves its purpose well!
