On tap at Flatbread.
Opaque yellow orange with a thin white head. Earthy spicy with lots of clove and some light bready honey maltiness underneath. Decent but a little too much clove for my tastes.

as clean american made saisons go, this is way up on my list. its got a wonderful brightness about it, is flavorful and interesting but bone dry on the grain side of things, and positively funky apparently without the use of brett on the yeast side. its rustic and old school tasting, and not relying on heavy belgian yeast influence to make it flavorful, just a gorgeous recipe overall. a light haze to this pale frothy brew, an aroma of spicy dry earthy yeast, loosely belgian, but more herbal and grassy and grounded than the normal high tone fruity ester complexion, although there is a hint of that here. some hops too, citrus and melon notes mostly on the back end, and a little bitterness to help it finish. a floral note in here, light honey from the grain, and a hay loft sort of funk, really rustic without being wild, which is the real highlight here. supremely drinkable too, works in the morning, and is effervescent and without any residual sugar. summery to me, organic tasting, and memorable. these guys are making some of the finest beers in the state from a quality standpoint, and obviously their pizza is next level too!

Tap: Poured a bright slightly hazy golden color ale with a nice medium size pure white head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of typical Belgian saison yeast is very interesting with some light floral hops presence. Taste was well balance between the typical lightly funky yeast with a nice malt bill with some medium sweet notes and a light floral hoppy finish. Full body with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done and this definitely makes me want to try some more of their beers.

Now known as just the Wilson Saison.
Pours a cloudy whitish-blonde color with a one finger head.
Aroma is sweet with hints of apple, spice, raisin and even grapeskin.
Taste is dry and sour upfront with some earthiness to it. Light hint of grapeskin and spice.
Mouthfeel uncovers apple, spice and grapeskin hints. Very faint hints though. The dryness sticks around as well.
Superbly drinkable. The flavor is meant to be complex and also to keep you guessing. I've had many saisons but I like this one the most. It just tastes better on tap and if bottled and aged, the flavors would be even more complex.

Appearance- Poured a golden hue, clean color, but with a nice smooth cloud throughout. White mild head with decently supporting carbonation.
Aroma - Has a touch of citrus with some overtones of Fruits (couldn't quite place) maybe some banana or pear.
Taste - Nice citrus fruit followed by a light hopping that balances the beer well. the aftertaste lingers with a nice citrus.
Mouthfeel - Nice full and smooth feel.
Drinkability - High ;-)

pours a very nice cloudy yellow. the smell is definitly banana laden. i really enjoyed just smelling this beer. the taste is very nice. the slight sour notes seem to bounce off the sweetness and the bitterness fills in the middle. it's awesome. really a well crafted beer. definitly the best one i sampled there. all i can say is wow.
