On tap at Covenhoven, Brooklyn, NY.
Pours a clear golden color with a modest head that quickly dissipates.
The nose opens with earthy, rustic and light funk aromas. Farmhouse aromas evoke burnt straw and hay. A clean fruity aroma highlights musty white grape, melon and pear, while the malt smells like dry cracker.
Dry palate overall, with fruity flavors of pear, melon, vinous white grape and a dry citrusy finish. The malt flavor provides a touch of sweetness by way of notes of caramel, honey and dry cracker. Nicely balanced with notes of peppery spices and a mild hops bitterness.
Medium bodied, crisp and dry. A tingly carbonation aids drinkability.
Nice Saison that is on par for the style. This is a fine collaboration between Zero Gravity and Allagash.
