Off the tap at their lovely location, this organic beer was a clear gold color with a creamy, off-white head. The retention was great especially as a collar and the lacing outstanding as curtains. The aroma was dry, a combination of spices, wheat, cellar-like malt and alcohol. The flavors were interesting, starting on a note of floral hops it then went into grains, grasses, tangy wheat, some light citrus-rind notes and a touch of smoke. The finish was on a pale malt note and very dry with some hints of bitterness. The mouthfeel was rather foamy, the body medium/light and the carbonation medium/high. An interesting spin on a Saison, but not my favorite version cranked out by this establishment. I simply found it so grassy it almost reminded me of a Hefeweizen.
