growler from the brewery

Pours a clouded straw yellow, bubbly white head, big bubbled collar, little lacing on the glass.

Scents of cherry and pineapple with toasted grain and wheat, a little sweet and hoppy in the nose.

A dash of juicy hops with fruit sweetness. Pineapple and big cherry pie flavor. Wheat and toasted malts, finishes a bit sweet and hoppy.

Lighter medium body, decent carbonation, tingly and refreshing. Easy drinking, a bit sweet but this definitely lives up to it's name.

Pours a hazy yellow to orange-ish color with a small white head. In the aroma, a faint fruitiness. In the taste, dry to sweet apricot and a semi dry maltiness. A fruity bite and lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dry fruit peel in the aftertaste. Light and refreshing, and I am glad it isn't sugary.

Wow, this was a surprise. Most of their beers lack any real flavor at all. The fruit bowl is the exception. Very orignal fruit flavoring, doesnt taste like an extract. A little hazy for my liking, not clear at all. But the looks give way to a nice sweet smelling and tasting brew.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a slight to half finger head. The smell is of fruit notes, blueberry, grapefruit, and some wheat. The taste is of a wheat backbone with blueberry and grapefruit notes to it as well. The mouthfeel is crisp, clean, and of very light carbonation. Overall you could drink a lot of these, with is very smooth and light to the palate.

A very different selection tasted on-tap at North Country. This fruit beer pours a very pale tan, almost peach in color with not much head to speak of. Very interesting looking.

The aroma is very fruity and grain-like. Some grapefruit, tart cherry, citrus, blueberry, and wheat. Appetizing, but more like a fruity cocktail than a beer.

Again, lots of fruit; grapefruit, coconut, blueberry. That familiar wheat/bubblegum character is there as well. Certainly a unique beer. I like trying these types of beer, if not for anything else but the experience. Not that it isn't good, but just not necessarily something I'd drink again and again.

Very thin and light on the palate. Low - moderate carbonation and body. Very refreshing. LetÂ’s put it this way; well crafted but more like something my girlfriend would drink. Worth a try though.

The flavor I got was strawberry.

A- somewhat cloudy wheat beer appearance. light body and thick white head.

S- very sweet. much like Berry Cereal. (not kidding)

T- nice flavor combination of wheat and strawberries. really nice brew.

M- very light body with light carbonation. smooth.

D- this is pretty drinkable but the sweet gets to you.

The type of fruit used in this brew rotates. I sampled a blueberry batch. Very light yellow with no head to speak of- apple juice. Not very appetizing. The aroma is very nice sweet blueberries. The taste is somewhat of a letdown. This beer has a very light wheat base. There is definetly blueberry flavor here. But there really isn't anything else to make it interesting. Mouthfeel is like pop (or soda if you prefer), fizzy and a bit watery. I think it's really difficult to pull off a beer like this. It really needs some work to find what other flavors would complement the berries. As it stands there really just isn't enough going on here. You might like it if you don't like beer (in which case you wouldn't be reading this) and instead would prefer a fizzy blueberry alcoholic drink.

A wheat based ale that this time seemed to be raspberry flavored. I'm not a big fan of fruit flavored beers, so I'm trying to be as objective as possible. It was slightly cloudy, not totally unexpected for a wheat ale. No hint of hops and the finish was decidedly berryish. Would be refreshing if it was a hot July day.
