Part of a 5oz sampler
My 1st experience with cask brews. Immediately you notice the cask beer is served much warmer than the tapped ones. This one has a slightly cloudy gold hue with a lot of carbonation that floats a thin white head. Nose was lightly spiced with wisps of orange. Taste was noticably citrus, with orange more pronouced over lemon. Very even & light - too much so for me. Had a disappointing very watery finish. Try as a could, I couldn't taste any maple/sweetness. Perhaps this was getting towards the bottom of the cask or this is par for the course, but I would only try this one again if someone else was buying.
