Overall this was a rather bland, average version of a Nut Brown Ale.

One of NCB's flagship beers and an outstanding Brown ale. This beer's ABV is right around 5% making it a nice session beer, which is what it is to me very often when I visit my backyard nook. Great flavor profile and extremely easy drinking. Smooth.

Squirrels Nut Brown

Pours a rich brown in color, yellowish head. Aroma is nutty, Malty, roasted and full. In the flavor, very nutty and mildly sweet with hazelnut, caramel and vanilla notes. A little caramel, roasted malts with no real hop presence. Medium bodied, smooth, carbonation is low but perceivable. Overall, a great session beer like most North Country offerings.

Pours a nice brown color not very dark but medium brown with a skim head. The aroma is of roasted malt and is faint. The taste is of roasted malt and a hint of nuttiness. Not alot of complexity but a solid taste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and good for the class. Overall it has a high drinkability, even though it isn't the most complex brown it has a solid flavor and can keep you interested.

Pours a nut brown color, bit hazy, thin film for a head.

Smell is of mildly nutty dark malts, maybe a hint of hop bitterness.

Taste is the same, one note but a good note.

On the thing side in the feel, smooth.

So-so brown ale, good taste, just no oomph to it.

Very drinkable beer. Dark and perfect for those who prefer a mellower hops presence. I myself love hops, when used right, but still enjoy this beer and enjoy drinking multiple glasses of it in a sitting. Also a great transition drink, this beer is one of the first microbrews my father, former Coors Light exclusivist, genuinely enjoyed. Now he asks for a growler of it with each trip home!
