Boo Berry
North Country Brewing
Style: Fruit / Vegetable Beer
ABV: unknown
LOOK: Hazed gold with an orange streak. Foamy white creamy froth forms and leaves lace down the glass. Not perfectly clear, possibly wheat malt base.
SMELL: Aroma of blue berry cereal, candies, and malt, coming off quite sweet to the senses.
TASTE: Upfront sweet candy like malts, sugary blue berry, but not without a surprising amount of hops. Some definite wheat malt flavor. Finishes more or less even, maybe even slighlty bitter. The blueberry flavor does stick with you, and lasts well into the finish.
FEEL: A medium bodied ale that is smooth and creamy. Carbonation is at a medium/low level.
OVERALL: For a blueberry ale, this one is more hop forward than most. Blueberry flavor was there and wasn't overly artificial like some examples of the style. This was pretty decent, if you like blueberries.

I experienced this one on tap at NC. A pale, copper amber with a fuzzy egg shell head that held relatively well.
Somewhat mild in the nose with a grainy, malty sweetness and some definite sweet blueberry in there as well. Unfortunately I had just eaten hot wings and my palate was a bit numb. Not terribly smart beer tasting etiquette I know, but bear with me.
A mild, slightly sweet malt backdrop for an almost candy-like sweet blueberry flavor throughout. As I said, at this point my taste buds are a little shot but a soft, slick mouthfeel finishes out this medium bodied brew.
The blueberry flavor is tasty but very sweet. I'm not sure where fresh blueberries, puree, or some other flavoring was added but it does taste almost candy-like. It may be a stretch but I can't help but think about those beloved little blue marshmallows that float around in this beer's namesake breakfast cereal.
