feels artificial to me, although the bartender assured me it was made with a fresh rasberry extract. pours a lovely pink grapefruit color with a thin white head, some haziness too. smells like raspberries and light fruity yeast. no hops to speak of. flavor is way too sugary, a little tart, but its over the top sweet. cant get past that, but there is a faint wheaty malt in there somewhere. feel is teeth rotting, and just not the refreshing treat this style has come to be for me. my least favorite of the carver beers i got the privilage to try.

Thin white head-- bare traces over surface, cloudy ruby-pink body, came with a lemon. Some lacing.

Smells like raspberry and candy.

Tastes like a raspberry lemonade, very faint hops in the finish confirm that this is beer and not soda. Not as strong as a lambic flavor-wise (maybe more a Berliner Weisse 'mit schuss'), but pleasant and drinkable. A lot of lemony tartness; probably more than imparted by the lemon in the glass. Overall kind of a sour, fruity beer. Not much wheat.

Mouthfeel has lots of prickly/foamy carbonation; this is perhaps more 'refreshing' than flavorful.

Overall a decent raspberry beer, but perhaps not enough wheat to qualify it as a wheat beer in my book.

Appearance: Cool pink/purple/brown color. Flat looking with no lacing or carbonation. Can you say, "Juice?"

Smell: Loads of raspberries. Nice, but a bit too sour.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Too much raspberry flavor in this. I guess 1 pound of raspberries per gallon will do that. Mouthfeel is pretty crisp though.

Drinkability: For the non-beer drinker.

Overall: Not my favorite raspberry beer.

Not sure how to categorize this;

Pours a bright red, almost like Kool-Aid, with a pink/white foamed up head.

Sweet raspberry and citrus aroma. Almost sugary but the fruit endures.

A very quick hint of soft bread up front. The raspberries dominate, almost to a syrupy point. It provides enough tartness to keep at bay the Lindeman's version. Tangy, perhaps. Some citrus in the end.

This is an easy drinking beer. The carbonation is alive but not too much as to strip away the fruit. Good summer beer for those who don't like the "beer taste"
