Enjoyed at EBF 2014.
Came to NERAX to try Flower Power but they ran out. Gave this a shot and i'm glad i did. A real good mix of actual ginger root with some breadiness and a bit of sweetness but not much. A refreshing IPA that is well suited for the cask treatment.

Growler from the brewery poured into a bulbed pint glass. Nice amber color and really good clarity; glows a nice reddish color when held up to the light. Nice beige colored foamy and frothy thick head that provides really nice lacing.
Smells good, flavors of molasses and cinnamon dominate the nose. Still some background aromas of buttery bread and some mild hops. Not much else to say, the ginger bread tones are the most up front.
Tastes pretty good. The ginger bread tones are a little different here, more like a graham cracker/ginger bread hybrid sprinkled with cinnamon. Strong malt backbone and again has some bready flavors. Spicky hops, at least I think so, the hops again take a back seat to the ginger bread flavors.
Mouthfeel is pretty good. Big flavors so it seems full bodied due to its long lingering flavor, but it's a little lighter than that, so I'd say a medium body. Spicy to sweet with a slightly bitter and extremely dry finish. Surprisingly refreshing and pretty drinkable, could actually have another glass after one. I think this would be a good winter seasonal/rotational beer. Creative idea from Harpoon! Props to Annie for gifting the growler.
