Pumpkin Chai

The beer pours a somewhat clear dark brown with a shade of orange. The head is a creamy dark tan that dissipates quickly. The beer smell has strong notes of lightly roasted pumpkin with an undercurrent of carious herbs and spices. One of the notes is clearly chai. Unlike the smell, the taste is more balanced and complex. The pumpkin note is weaker and different. The pumpkin tastes less roasted and sweeter with a bit of sugar but the difference does not ruin the taste. Rather, the taste balances well with the chai, nutmeg, and bit of cinnamon. The feel is medium bodied but more towards the heavy side with biting carbonation. Overall, a pretty good pumpkin beer and good enough to get me to come back for another one.
