Tasted on tap at The Lower Depths (Kenmore Square, Boston)
Dark brown, but light passes through the edges. Smallish head but it lasts and provides stringy to blanketing lace.
The smell is of chalk, bitter chocolate and mild, background hop.
The flavor is similar to the smell except for the swallow where (I believe) I get some peanut notes. The aftertaste returns to the burnt malts. This is more chocolatey than anything else. Relatively smooth given the thinnish (and accurate) body.
