Tasted at the brewery in Boston.
Pours a deep, dark ruby brown. Light barely shines through. It's difficult to determine the clarity. Modest head that leaves a few spots for lace.
Mild aroma of darker and sweeter malts. Dark caramel, almost treacle like. Some alcohol.
This is a big beer. Rich in flavor with a chocolate caramel base. Enough sugar to give this brew a creamy texture. The low carbonation enhances this quality. In the background, I get a lightly burnt touch. The aftertaste is semisweet with darker malts and alcohol warmth.
