Tasted at the Lower Depths on 4/9/16. As stated on their menu: Braggot 100 Barrel Series IPA aged in barrels that produced a Lambic-esque flavor with an IPA finish.
Unlike the Theo the Elder, this beer is further from the IPA and closer to the Braggot although I find this beer Lambic sour in flavor.
Light brown color and clear. Moderate head that leaves a ring of initial lace, spots thereafter.
The smell is of soured beer with a touch of darker malt in the background.
The taste is as one would expect, lots of sourness. What I don't get is the "IPA finish". While the sour flavor subsides in the swallow, it is dominant with no real bitterness taking over.
