At 7.0% abv, this beer is quite boozy for a Kolsch. Ironically, tasted at Bukowski's, not Lower Depths. Crystal clear with a gold color. Modest head but it provides plenty of blanketing lace.
Mild, but fresh smelling aroma.
Starts light with a malty softness from the pale grain. Very highly hopped for the style but not into IPA levels. The swallow draws out a lightly sour and toastiness, contributing to a pleasant balance in the aftertaste.
