Clear , amber color . One-finger head , which quickly disappeared. Aroma of yeasts, spices ,and banana. It has a sweet, yeasty taste with notes of fruits and spices. Light, herbal bitterness at the end. Not bad as a beer, but not good enough as a tripel.

A good beer, I just wish I had a bottle that was aged properly. Nice golden color, hard nose, and a pretty intense bite in my opinion. A bit sharp maybe? But also malty.

Now we're talking. I enjoy a Trippel served on draught in a goblet. The lower carbonation makes drinking the Trippel less like chugging bear and more like sipping a cocktail. Smells sweet, and the taste is surprising varied with suggestions of fruit, maybe cherry. Nicely balanced body. Very enjoyable.

22 oz. Bomber $7.99
Appears a bit hazy with golden, orange coloration. A bubbly, creamy looking white crown grows high and slumps slow. My issue with the look of this one is simple, clearly has been filtered and the head drops and dissapears too fast.
Vanilla, alcohol, banana, tropical fruits, cloves, herbal mix, all smell very heady, the yeast is sweet and sour, mildly earthy. A very nice Belgian-like aroma overall.
First sip has an intense, crispy bite, with some heat and a long, slick/smooth finish.
Flavor is very bold with a rather excellent Belgian yeast complexity. Sour fruits, sweet fruits, mildly tropical fruits like banana and star fruit pop out. The herbal, earthy taste pops out next as it also has a mild vanilla malt thing mixed in. The flavors blend well together. A high heat feel and flavor somehow seems to add depth as a sour, malty flavor lingers after.
Not as dry and earthy as some of the top Belgian versions are. Also not as sour or spicey as the European classics seem to be. The malt seems to be a bigger influence in the American versions of this style. The yeast complexity is also usually lower than the real deal Abbey versions. The yeast flavors for this one are actually pretty complex. Very enjoyable indeed. Not filtering and less malt slickness would be great improvements to this Trippel. That said, I'm seriously enjoying this one, as is.
As the liquid warms, I get a grassy and much more spicey/ herbal effect to the aroma. The heat tingles the nose. Eventhough the foam dissapears, the liquid remains very active with a refreshing snappy feeling. Feels slightly more dry as time goes on.
I personally love this style and find it very interesting and complex, while very easy to drink, even at 9 % abv.

Draught. Color is golden and clear. Low carbonation and head. Nose is sweet bread and yeast. Palate is sweet and yeasty, pungent delicious yeast, cherry and banana finish. Feel is light bodied yet full. Excellent beer.

From the 650 ml. bottle, which was released in June 2016. Sampled on July 2, 2016. So, mine is the first review.
The pour is golden-amber with a quick-lasting white head that fades to nothing. Nice clarity.
The aroma brings out a variety of esters including toasted bread and biscuit, coriander, grass, but also maybe a little soapiness.
Medium, smooth body.
The taste is what counts and it was far better than the nose's expectations. Sweet toasted malts, clove, grass, banana, and a mild finish. There are better choices out there but I would have it again.

Golden color and very clear. Good starting head which settles to rim bubbles. Some spots and streaks for lace.
Earthy and mildly sour smell. Slight graininess.
Rich and strongly alcoholic. There's a residual sweetness that is common with this style. Lots of alcohol on the tongue. Warming. I get coriander and pale malts. Very rich body as expected with a good carbonation level.

Primary fermentation with Belgian golden ale yeast, 80% Belgian Pilsner malt, 5% Bonlader Munich malt, and 15% light Belgian candi sugar. Lightly hopped with Tettnang hops. Fermented dry, then secondary fermentation with Abbey Ale yeast.
Poured out slightly murky with a light golden color. Good carbonation feeds a thick off white head and decent lacing. Has a sharp medicinal smell, alcohol, spice, and some faint hops. The taste hits you with alcohol right away, spicyness and maybe some dry honey. Its almost light bodied due to so much carbonation. The carbonation hits hard and aggressive.
