Blackish brown with a dense caramel colored head, minimal lacing.
Pretty pungent on the nose – notes of oak, light booze, vanilla, caramel, licorice, roasty malts and a slight bitterness reminiscent of espresso.
Woahhh palate blew me away. Big sweetness up front, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, smokiness, oak, assertive caramel, beautiful roasted malt, subtle vanilla. smooth bourbon notes present as well. but probably the most awesome part of this beer is the definite sticky maple sweetness coming through. Subtle roasty bitterness on the finish to provide some balance– FREAKING DOPE!!
