Cloudy, but not as much as most. There's an unusual reddish hue to the light amber color. Nearly no head and certainly no lace -- weird for a wheat based beer.
Definitive banana aroma with a touch of clove. The wheat nose does come through as a secondary smell.
Thicker bodied than most in the style. The low carbonation enhances this feel. The taste is classic weizenbock with a light sour presence. The banana/clove is a bit muted in the taste while the wheat flavors are more pronounced.
