Brewed exclusively for Tavern in the Square, enjoyed at Northborough location
Pours a decent fizzy head that fades fairly quickly, crystal clear tan slight copper orange color
Nose light hops, little grassy and floral, fruity but no specific fruits, maybe some stone fruit as an almost berry, yeah I think maybe peach, little citrus barely, mild sweet malt, some melon as it warms
Taste brings a little sweet malt, toasted reddish malts and a little caramel biscuity note, hops start a bit grassy and earthy, a bit of generic fruit but not much, maybe peach syrup and generic stone fruit extract but not sure, then melon which ramps, almost cantaloupe, a touch of pine late, bitterness starts light then ramps on the mild sticky finish, more pine and earthy hops lingering
Mouth is med bod, decent carb
Overall pretty boring for a modern day ipa, maybe 20 years ago it would be interesting but even basic harpoon ipa is better. This was just lacking anything interesting, very lackluster.
