Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a hazy, dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very faint, hints of apricot. Taste is of slightly sour apricot, a bit of wheat. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing beer, but not what I want or think of in a Hefeweizen.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a best by date of 07/15/18. Sampled on May 5, 2018.
The color is a sort of yellow-olive with a small, short-lived white head and an unfiltered haze.
The promised apricots are immediately noted in the aroma while the bready, yeasty, and mild spice characters fall in well behind that.
I found the body to be heavier than I imagined. Better than medium and smooth.
The taste also erupts with apricot juiciness but then I get this interesting herbal or more accurately ginger finish. Lingers some. Refreshing but not something I would go to often.

Mass. Bay Brewing Co. "UFO Apricadabra"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "Enjoy By 335 08/15/18 12:31" and sampled on 04/06/18
$1.83 @ Cherry Hill Liquor, Wine & Beer (Wegmans), Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It pours a hazy golden and orange body beneath a massive head of fluffy bright white foam. There's some apricot in the aroma, seemingly natural, but let's check the label... "BEER BREWED WITH NATURAL FLAVORS"... so, no, it's not natural but that doesn't bother me as long as it's good, and flavorings have gotten so much better in the past decade that they're usually excellent. When a beer is a little off I'd say it probably has more to do with how much the brewer used, and when, than it does with the flavoring itself. Moving forward, the apricot carries into the flavor as well, and there's some light wheat malt to it. It's quite nice with just a touch of sweetness and a hint of tartness, and it's definitely not overdone. A low-level bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry with some fruitiness lingering. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and gently crisp and then smooth. Quite refreshing. Now, there is a problem with this beer for me in that it's not really a hefeweizen. There's no hefeweizen yeast character - none in the aroma, and none in the flavor. It's still a nice, easy drinking beer that would be great for warm weather, but I think of it as more of an American wheat.

L) Pours an opaque straw color with a creamy white head. Alright retention and lacing.
S) The smell is incredibly inviting and juicy. It is loaded with apricot, kumquat, and lemon zest.
T) The taste is similar to the nose, with less intensity. It has a bit of grassy hoppiness to that creates a nice balance, and some grainy sweetness from the malt.
F) The beer is quite creamy for the style, and has a medium-high carbonation. A pleasure to sip.
O) This hefe drinks similar to a fruited out pale ale. It is a great brew, and an easy recommendation to any citrus or stone fruit lovers. I paired mine with a fish fillet sandwich, and I wish I had another bottle because I drained my pint glass long before I killed my sandwich.

This is a fun beer! Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Cloudy yellow color with a nice white head and beautiful lacing. Refreshing and fragrant fruity smell, with apricot, peaches and lemon. These all carry over to the pleasant taste. This beer feels great, smooth and thick. Will buy again.

Fully cloudy -- it looks like a cut peach. Little head which ends up as simply rim bubbles. A few larger spots for lace.
Strong attractive apricot nose. Really true to the fruit -- think of the aroma of a freshly cut apricot.
The flavor is drier than the smell indicates but the apricot still dominates. I think of UFOs as wheat beers but there's no evidence of wheat here. Full bodied with lighter carbonation. Refreshing and malty overall. Short aftertaste from a lightly sour finish.
