Crystal clear dirty copper color. Webby lace from a moderate head.
Rich caramel aroma with very light hop to the nose. There's also some "papery" smells. Traditional, but appealing.
This seems closer to an Amber than a pale ale in flavor and appearance. There's a solid and lasting nutty brown malt flavor that lingers from sip to aftertaste. The bittering hop goes from subtle to nearly balanced through the same sequence. Good body with moderate carbonation. The overall taste has a light earthy touch.
