For a cask pour, this has an impressive two-finger, dense bubbled head. Oddly, the center collapses before the edges. Excellent chunky multiple ring laces on the glass.
The smell is a mild blend of malt and hop but there's a spicy chili pepper in the background.
Appropriately warm, this beer has a pale malt base which lingers throughout the tasting but subsides from with an increasing hop presence. The body is rich because of the lighter (cask pour) carbonation. The finish is balanced with a notable yeast presence. Longer aftertaste from the neutral hop bitterness.
