Clear, gold color. Moderate head with a thick initial ring of lace. Some broad streaks thereafter.
Weedy, like thistles to the nose. The pale malt aroma is very faint.
The malt is rich but not sweet. It holds up throughout the tasting. The finish is straight up bitter, like sucking a black peppercorn. Nearly harsh but base keeps it from being extreme.
