Barrel Aged Cannoli Stout

It’s good. It doesn’t remind me of a cannoli, I keep thinking of some sort of Chocolate Horchata maybe... I dunno. It’s sweet, it’s pretty solid tasting... it’d buy it again but not especially crazy about it. Worth trying definitely.

Look: Pitch black. Virtually no head.

Smell: Sweet and tart with a sawdust note.

Taste: More of that unusual wood flavor, like licking the lumber at Home Depot. Even the bitterness isn’t really roasted or hoppy, just like wood.

Mouthfeel: Average thickness and high carbonation for the style.

Overall: “Barrel aged” doesn’t mean “actually tastes like a barrel.”
