Darker than most NE IPAs with an amber color. Cloudy, naturally. Above average head which lasts throughout the tasting. Excellent ring lace with a good web in between.
Spicy aroma of white pepper and light grapefruit rind. The pale malt is difficult to pick out.
Similar to the smell, the malt base is brief and barely perceptible. The tale of the tape is the biting hop. More like black pepper thank anything else. The body is full and the carbonation is high. Long, suck-a-hop-pellet bitterness to the aftertaste. There's a touch of alcohol warmth to the ending as well.
