Deep dark brown where light does shine through the center of the glass. Lasting fine-bubbled head. Good thick webs for lace.
Semisweet chocolate nose. Very light chalk and perhaps a touch of sweetness. I don't get any expected Belgian yeast notes.
It starts off as darker cocoa and ends with semisweet (more sweet than not) chocolate. There's some berry on the tongue, too. Again, no Belgian presence per se. The body and carbonation are appropriate. I'd place this more in the Brown Ale category.
