Originally we bought this for a Foxboro football extravaganza and then had one get buried in the fridge for a while. Like a Long time. Anyway, it’s one of the higher performing Harpoon products, if not the best. A delightfully hoppy brew with a pillowy soft foamy head. The bitterness from Citra hops plays well with the sweet malt. A little more horsepower and a bit more hop bite than the standard IPA. A well crafted product that we would love to buy again.

Darker gold with a light haze. Decent starting head which retains a thin film of bubbles throughout the tasting. Good thick streaks for lace.
Good blend of toasted pale malts and mild floral hop. Overall, a neutral IPA smell.
Lots of yeast in the flavor. The overall taste leans toward a black pepper bitterness. Dry. Neutral body with an elevated carbonation level. The finish is surprisingly short given the bitterness.

L: 3.75 Hazy golden yellow. Sizable bubbly white head.
S: 4 . Citrusy with plenty hops, as expected.
T: 4 Follows the nose.
F: 4 sticky, but very enjoyable. The 7.2 ABV is barely noticeable.
O 4. A great beer. You'd better bet i'd have another if I have the chance.

i hadn’t had anything from harpoon in a while and happened on this one so gave it a shot. I figured it would be similar to Sam New England IPA but actually pretty different. It’s not hazy at all but a dark golden slightly orange color. Smell is a little pine maybe some citrus. Taste was pleasantly surprising with tons of citrus and a little pine hoppiness. Agree with prior comment about East meets west IPA thing. Very smooth and has that juicy NE ipa flavor but limited bitter. Very well done by Harpoon. Absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a nice American IPA.

From the 12 fl. oz. can. canned on 10/28/19. Sampled Nov 22, 2019.
Attractive golden pour underneath a long lasting, fluffy off-white head. Light up-streaming carbonation Great clarity.
Bright hopped up aroma of pine, citrus, passion fruit, tropical fruit, and a bit of biscuit in the background.
Pleasant medium body.
The flavor highlights the citrus and pine notes with a sort of resin-like character thrown in for good measure. Mildly dry ending. Enjoyed it.

Poured into a 16 ounce Nordic pint glass canned on 9/06/19. Pours a very attractive dark orange with a finger plus sticky off white head that leaves a bunch of thick lace behind. 4.5
Smell is pine, apricot, tangerine, pineapple, toffee, caramel, and grapefruit rind. 4
Taste follows caramel, toffee start and then apricot, tangerine, pineapple, and a little bitter grapefruit but amazingly balanced. 4
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life, a tad dry on the finish, and at 7.2% extremely drinkable. 4.25
Overall this is a fantastic beer, not hazy but a juiciness for sure. Kind of a East meets West hybrid that reminds me why I fell in love with IPAs. Sip of Sunshine is a similar style for me. 4
