Good concept, but like most Harpoon beers, fails to impress. Too heavy handed with all ingredients. Nice color, but head fades fast. Good mouthfeel, thick but not too thick. Smells like sweetness and ginger. The flavor is too much ginger, too much turmeric, and mostly, too much sugar! As soon as this hits my tongue, I'm hit with sugar that is joined by ginger and turmeric, and the sugar lingers with the turmeric. It's possible that the level of spicing could be correct if they backed off on the sweetness. More lactose would also have helped, as right now it's not super noticeable right now.

We could all use a little more Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper and lactose in our lives! Excited to find this at a little packy on Dot Ave. Sounds like a weird combination but it actually works. Hints of all the ingredients come through in every sip. The only negative for me was I wanted a little more lactose to give me that creamy goodness! At 7.2 ABV it will sneak up on you quick. Happy holidays!!
