We still haven’t figured out who came up with the idea of spending their January beer-free, but we’d like to go on the record again and say that sounds awful. We certainly won’t fault those that choose to partake, but with another “Dry January” upon us, we’re going to keep doing things a little differently.
Featuring a massive dose of Lotus hops for tropical and mixed berry aromatics, plus a dose of Chinook for some subtle notes of citrus, this Triple IPA is designed for those who prefer to imbibe on a cold winter’s night, no matter the month.
IBU: 70
Grain Bill: 2 Row, Maris Otter, Synergy Pils
Hops: Chinook, Lotus

Smaller head from the can pour. Excellent chunky lacing. The liquid is hazy with Amber to brown color.
Rich aroma of mostly, lightly toasted malts—some bread, some light tropical fruit. The alcohol is also present to the nose. Light cardboard odor.
Higher carbonation to a relatively light body given the style. I pull out some mango on the tongue just prior to the strong alcohol bite kicks in. The hop bitterness is surprisingly light. The aftertaste is very boozy.
