A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 1 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a thin cap; very nice lacing;

S: sour milk;

T: the sour milk character is here as well, but is balanced by some earthy hops; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; ABV is warming, not hot;

O: flavor was better, but not good;

From a 16 fl. oz. can with a 2021 date. That isn't encouraging since I sampled it on Feb 5, 2023.

The appearance is an orange amber with a cloudy character underneath a lingering massive cream colored head.

This is an old can so immediately I pick up cardboard breadiness but a notable cantaloupe and melon fruit sensation. Not completely off.

The mouthfeel is high-medium/

The past ripe fruit notes intermix with the sweet, breaded malts for the taste. But it does not have the alcohol punch I might have expected, and I can tell that it is an old can. A little stale.

Amber color and clear. Nice blanketing lace on the glass from a modest head.

Fresh hop cone aroma. Some tropical fruit, but no grapefruit. Mild and inviting. The malt has a touch of toast to it. Well balanced.

The flavor is clean and not very boozy which makes this a deceptive beer. While the hop dominates, it doesn't dictate the overall flavor. Good carbonation to a slightly elevated body. The finish has light mango and white pepper. As the aftertaste fades, the pepper lingers longer.

Overall, this is one of the finest IIPAs I've had. I'm a sucker for nuance and complexity and this satisfies all of the high bars.
