Clear, deep amber (nearly light brown). Minor head which leaves only slippery temporary spots on the glass.
The initial smell reminded me of Cotton Candy. Sweet caramel corn and fresh baked bread nose, somewhat like a mild barley wine.
The taste is like caramel corn as well. Buttery and sugary up front. Decent body as would be expected with the sugars but the carbonation cuts this well. The finish is surprisingly weak leaving a watery aftertaste.
This is an interesting beer—very different from anything I’ve had. I really like the caramel corn flavor.
